The WARNING
Bob and Joe were doing homework on the computer when the screen went pitch black – in bold red letters a flashing sign appeared, WARNING! WARNING! The computer program in a robotic tone said, “Bad-guys-are-try-ing-to-steal-an-cient-trea-sures-in-the-Af-ri-can-for-est.” Bob and Joe disappeared in thin air. After 2 minutes of suspense, they landed on a tree – it seems like they had landed in a very dense forest. Good thing they landed up at the top of the tree. They had a good view of where they were from the top and Joe could see an Okapi. He knew right away that they were in Africa because Okapi is the only animal in the giraffe family that is unique to Africa. Joe exclaimed, “I think we are on the top of tree in the middle of the African forest.”
Building a Fort
The two slowly climbed down the tree and Joe started to collect sticks. Bob was confused and asked Joe what the sticks were for. Well, we need to make a fort – who knows how long we will need to be here. The fort with the sticks was not going to be strong. They noticed red sand – maybe that will help bind the sticks together for a stronger fort. They found a nearby water stream. They collected water to help to create a mixture. Voila – it worked! This was exactly what they needed – they started to put big patches of this red goo all over their fort on their upright sticks. As the mixture dried up, it made the walls of their fort stronger.
Encounter With A Tiger
After building a mighty strong fort, they started forward to find the ancient treasure. They were on a mission to find the treasure, but where would it be … how do they find it? They started walking away from the dense forest. Now they were hungry and thirsty. They asked a villager for food, but the villager did not understand their language. They started using gestures and the villager finally brought them food and water. While they were eating, they noticed rustling noises in the bushes. They thought it was the wind but in a moments time they could make out that the noise was a squeaky roar. Bob finished eating his food, but right when Joe was eating his last bite something jumped out of the bushes and it jumped onto one of the villagers. It was a tiger! Bob thought of a way to distract the tiger and he remembered that tigers do not like loud noises, so he took Joe’s plate and threw it near the tiger. The tiger was startled but eventually moved away from the man. Unfortunately, he now started chasing Bob. Bob’s ninja moves came in handy from all the Ninajago he watched. He artfully moved aside and climbed up a thin branch on the top of the tree freakishly fast. The tiger followed him and started climbing onto the thin branch, but the branch broke off. They both came tumbling down. They regained balance and looked around. They noticed that the tiger was still on the ground but very still and not moving. Bob and Joe saw blood trickling from the tiger’s side. It is not okay to harm an animal they thought so they quickly gathered as many banana leaves as possible from the trees nearby. They placed banana leaves on the wound and tied it around the tiger to help stop the bleeding. When they saw no more bleeding, Bob and Joe plus a few villagers used a wagon to lift the tiger onto it. They safely sent him off in the wild and set him free in the dense forest.

The Magical Sink Hole
They awoke in their hut a bit groggy. Bob was hungry so they set off for some breakfast. Since they were in a lush tropical forest, they decided to get some fruits. Bob found a banana tree, but Joe said why banana’s when you can have passion fruit, a mango, and a guava…Yummy! They quickly ate their fruit and set off to find treasure. They went East because they saw something that was shining red and blue. Once they got to the glowing lights, they saw a wand and a note beside it. A note that said pick up the wand and say “Abracadabra.” So, this is what Bob did. Before Joe could tell him not to in case it was a trap, Bob had already done it. He did the spell but nothing happened. Then suddenly, after a moment of nothingness, a sink hole appeared, and they fell into it without warning. They had big bruises and bumps. “Bob!” Joe shouted. What have you done? What?! That was not my fault – this sink hole came out of nowhere. “Arghhh!” now we must get out of this pit. They found some vines and they tried to use them to swing to the top. It did not work so they tried calling for help but there was no response. They tried climbing up the pit. Bob made it to the top but Joe slid down again and again. He was also afraid of heights so that did not make this any easier. “What should we do now?” Bob was exhausted by now. Bob spotted a man selling bamboo, so he bought a few and used the vines to connect the bamboo into a long sturdy rope. Then he lowered “the rope” which Joe used to climb on, but he lost his grip and he feel back down into the sink hole. Joe accidently hit a wooden plank as he reached the bottom of the sink hole and a cave appeared on the side of the sink hole. Joe was puzzled but went in the cave and called for Bob to join him. Bob too was curious, so he jumped back into the sink hole and followed. “Why are we in this cave, it gives me the creeps,” Bob said. Don’t you think I am scared too – I do not even take dare devil class like you do. Oh yeah, I forgot about that. After a couple of hours Bob asked, “when does this cave end, we have been walking for what feels like hours, I’m tired and sleepy. When Bob said the word “sleepy” a room appeared. It was perfect, a Victorian masterpiece like the ones the kings and queens likely slept in and a 1,000,000,000,000 better. It had everything you could a imagine – beautiful canopy beds with red velvet blankets. Before Joe could think about what to do next, Bob was already running to his choice of bed. Bob got the Royal blue bed and Joe got a carob brown bed. Bob then said he was hungry and as soon as he said the word “hungry,” an amazing spread of food appeared. Mac “n” Cheese, Pizza, Ice Cream, Chips, different kinds of fruits and food from other cuisines – Ethiopian Injera and Shiro Wot, Thai noodles and peanut sauce, Nachos, Butter Chicken and more! It was quite a spread! With their bellies full, they dozed off into sleep. That night when Bob and Joe were sleeping the Bad guys got a head start on the treasure. In the morning Bob and Joe were hungry again so food appeared. There was pancakes, French toast, fruit, eggs, oatmeal, toast, and jam. They indulged in the spread, bellies full and satiated.

Bob & Joe Time Travel
Breakfast done just in time when they disappeared again. Only this time they seemed to still be in the sink hole – maybe a different part of it? They were confused. As they looked around, Bob stumped and tripped on a solid gem…could this be the largest chunk of diamond – yes! What a gem! They looked around and they saw more and more treasure just lying there on the ground. “Look Joe, we found the treasure!” Bob exclaimed. “At least it looks like the treasure,” Bob added. Right next to the treasure was a small hut. Bob and Joe knew it was too good to be true – they found the treasure so easily, but what was in the hut or rather… who was in the hut? Before getting too excited and thinking the job was done, they approached the hut cautiously. They picked out sharp sticks from the ground to use as weapons – only in the case they would needed. They quietly opened the door. “Wait!” Joe said. “What if the bad guys are trying to trick us.” Maybe this is a trap, Bob said. “You are finally using your head” said Joe. As soon as they walked past the treasure they got teleported yet again. “Ugh!” Not again! Now we have to find our way back to the treasure” Bob said.
Finding the Real Treasure
“Well, there has to be some kind of trick to get back to the treasure” Joe said – we were so close earlier! They brainstormed for a couple of minutes then Joe said “Wait! What if we are not on the other side of the world. What if the bad guys tricked us into thinking we are on the other side of the world. “Hey,” Bob said, “I remember this we just have to go to the northeast of the village again and back to the sink hole. Once they went north east for about half an hour, they reached the sink hole. But this time they did not dare go past the treasure. Instead, they each took 3 sticks, and they threw it at the hut. The bad guys ran out of the hut. They used their sharpened sticks to make the bad guy’s surrender. Once they surrendered, they tied the hands of the bad guys behind their backs with bamboo. Immediately once the hands were tied, they got teleported to a building where the bad guys ended up in a prison cell. Bob and Joe walked back to their house and they came to realize that their parents had not noticed they were even missing. They were gone for days or weeks they thought but maybe not. They continued to work on their computer until their parents called them down for dinner. At Dinner Bob told his parents that they had finished their homework. (They were not lying the mission was their homework).
Armaan Wow! Good job! That’s a pretty long story with your imagination running wild. Keep at it. Loves Dadu
