“Look what I found”, I screamed. It was real gold! “Oh my God!”, I exclaimed. I quickly ran back home in excitement. When I got home, I could not stop thinking about the gold. My brain was telling me to give it back. I thought about some options with what I could do with it. The first option was selling it for money and buying a Nintendo Switch. My second option was to give it to the Police or other authorities. My third option was to give it to my friend, and then he might give me some back for being honest.
The good thing about keeping it and selling it is that I will get a Nintendo Switch that I’ve really been wanting. But technically I would be taking something that is not mine, and that feels like stealing. I would not feel good about it.
Giving it to the Police or authorities would be good because neither me nor my friend would get the treasure. That’s why in my opinion, I should give it to my friend because it was his to begin with. In the end, even though I really wanted to keep it the right thing to do is to give it back to my friend.
