One day Shannon was walking around looking for a job. He was looking for something that he would enjoy doing. Then he came across a circus. He went inside and asked the man at the counter if they were looking for any jobs. The man told him, “Yes we do would you like juggling.” Shannon thought to himself if this was a good job to take on. He remembered his childhood he used to juggle balls all day and every day. He told them man yes. The next day he came to the circus with his juggling balls. He went to the man at the counter and told him that he was ready. The man told him he had to juggle apples, not balls. Shannon took the apples and went to the place where he had to juggle. He started juggling but the apples fell out of his hands. He kept struggling until the end of the day. The next day was the same except some kids came by and told him that his juggling skills were amazing. The next day Shannon went to work but there was already someone else doing his job! He went to the counter and asked the an what had happened. The man said they had found someone else who was even better than him. Shannon got mad and ran back home.
That night Shannon was dreaming of juggling with everybody in the world watching him. When he got up he got an idea “Eureka!” he said I could start my own juggling business. That day he started setting up his circus in the city park. By the end of the day he had set up the tent and the stage. The following morning Shannon got to work he got to work he put flyers everywhere. He gave free coupons to the kids he told him he rocked the other day. At 11:00am he started juggling but there were only 10 people. By the end of the day he had 1000 people watching him. It was not his dream but a lot of good things were happening and it made him very happy.

The next day he wore a mime costume and did more interesting acts. His audience multiplied – he now had a local news station filming him live. By the end of the day he learned that the whole town was watching his show. Everybody loved him.
His next act was playing a harmonica while juggling. At the end of the show, he had a visitor who Shannon noticed was admiring him from a distance. The man finally walked up to him and Shannon immediately recognized him as the man that had turned him down for the circus job. He wanted Shannon back to do the main events at the circus. Shannon was a nice guy but he could not take the job so he said no very nicely. He was so proud of himself. He had accomplished his dream. He wanted to call those kids up on stage that had believed in him and made him feel good when he didn’t feel so good in the early days. He called the kids up on stage and he told them to be on his next show. He told his audience what they had done and how they were his hero’s. Even little kids can be hero’s, you can too. Be nice and be kind to others around you – and be a hero!
